Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei are excited to share plans for a proposed Hauora, Sports & Recreation Centre.

The facility will prioritise health, community accessibility, and sustainability, grounded by the principles of manaakitanga, whanaungatanga, and kaitiakitanga. It will serve as a welcoming community hub promoting healthy lifestyles, fostering connections, and prioritising well-being and environmental responsibility.

The proposed site will be in the vicinity of the Ōrākei Domain at the current site of the Ōkahu Bay Bowling Club and will be located above the projected 100-year sea level mark.

 Community Consultation

During this progressive planning phase, we welcome members to join us to workshop this proposed initiative. This is an opportunity for local residents and the wider community to learn more about the project and to share ideas and feedback with our project leads.

This hui will be held:

• Wednesday 13 March 2024

• Ōrākei School Hall (1 Grace Street, Orakei, Auckland 1071)

• The meeting will start at 6.00pm
